Serenity and Golf in Gran Canaria

Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity 5*

In the south of Gran Canaria, just a few minutes from Maspalomas, the Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity 5* blends into an open landscape of rolling hills and native vegetation. Its terraced architecture utilises the natural slope of the land and faces terraces and communal spaces towards the mountains and the Atlantic horizon.

The atmosphere is serene, with spacious outdoor areas and a constant sense of openness. Here, the pace slows without becoming completely isolated: the stable climate and southern light accompany a stay designed for discreet relaxation. The hotel has over 300 rooms, many with private terraces and unobstructed views. The interiors combine contemporary lines with materials that dialogue with the surroundings. In the communal areas, there are several outdoor pools, adults-only zones, family spaces, and a comprehensive wellness centre, Be Aloe Wellness, featuring indoor and outdoor circuits, a sauna, oxygen therapy cabin, and a vitality pool with therapeutic jets.

The dining options are spread across restaurants serving modern cuisine, sharing plates, and poolside bars, with local produce and a carefully curated wine list. As a base for playing golf, its location within the Salobre area offers direct access to the course and allows guests to return to their rooms in just a few minutes. After a round, the spa, pools, and open terraces serve as a natural transition between effort and relaxation.

Anfi Golf By Lopesan

Anfi Golf By Lopesan is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in the Tauro Valley, in the southwest of Gran Canaria. It opened in 2007 and is set on a spacious site, nestled between volcanic mountains and a semi-desert landscape. Designed by Robert Von Hagge and his team, the course features an Arizona-style layout with elevation changes, elevated tees, and large greens. It stretches over 5,800 meters from the yellow tees and 6,300 meters from the white tees, with slopes and elevation shifts that affect shot strategies. Covering more than 650,000 square meters, it includes lakes, waterfalls, and lush vegetation contrasting with the dry surroundings. The design blends wide fairways with clearly defined hazard zones, where losing the line of play can lead to slopes or natural ravines, prompting players to think beyond just distance. Bunkers ar...

Salobre New Course

In the south of Gran Canaria, within the Salobre Golf & Resort in Maspalomas, the New Course adds its own character to the complex. It was built in 2008 with a design by Ron Kirby and, after several reconfigurations, currently operates as a 9-hole, par 36 course, integrated into a flexible system that combines layouts with the Old Course. The terrain sets the tone from the very first shot. The volcanic topography, ravines, and uneven ground require careful thought for each shot. It is not a long course in absolute terms, but it is demanding in terms of placement. Elevated tees offer a view of the valley and the resort, while the fairways, undulating and framed by rock and native vegetation, reward strategy over power. Kirby chose to respect the landscape, adapting the design to the natural shapes rather than trying to tame them. ...

Salobre Old Course

In the south of Gran Canaria, within the Salobre Golf & Resort, the Old Course is the layout that gave rise to the complex. It opened in 1999 and was designed by Roland Favré as an 18-hole, par 71 course. Since then, it has established itself as one of the most recognisable courses on the island. The design adapts to the volcanic terrain, between ravines and terraced slopes. Favré positioned tees at different heights, wide fairways in several sections, and relatively small greens, which require precise second shots. The contrast between rock, native vegetation, and wood forms part of its visual identity, always integrated into the valley environment. Although it is an accessible course for players of different levels, it has holes that demand precision, especially the par 3s. Hole 11 is the most talked about due to its difficulty...
