Located in Ciudad Grupo Santander, in Boadilla del Monte, west of Madrid, Golf Santander is an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by American architect Rees Jones. The course unfolds across a vast, undulating estate, featuring wide fairways from the tees and a design that combines visual openness with strategic challenges. From the black tees, it measures 6,855 meters—a distance that requires careful consideration of every shot and effective management of the round’s pace.
The course alternates today between long, open holes and more technical ones, where positioning from the tee is key to attacking greens well defended by bunkers and gentle terrain undulations. The wind, common in the area, adds a variable that changes the course reading depending on the day. The greens, wide and with subtle slopes, require precision on approach shots and careful putting. It’s not a course with hidden tricks; its difficulty is evident in the length, the placement of obstacles, and the need to choose the right club for each situation.
Just minutes from downtown Madrid, Golf Santander offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, designed for both regular practice and competition. It is a course that rewards consistency and allows you to enjoy golf with space, light, and a clear sense of order on each hole.
Real Sitio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial is in a stunning location, right next to the amazing Escorial Monastery, and it’s a World Heritage Site (declared in 1984). The Real Club de Golf de la Herrería is in this beautiful spot, and it’s a great place to enjoy a round of golf surrounded by nature.
The course was originally designed by Antonio Lucena and then reimagined by Pepe Gancedo. At 6,091 metres and with 18 holes, it’s a great place to enjoy a round of golf and some great food.

FAQs
When is the best time to travel?
Spring (April–June) and autumn (September–October) offer the most pleasant weather for golf and sightseeing. Winter is quieter and cooler, but Madrid’s cultural life stays lively year-round.
Can I modify the number of days or golf courses?
Absolutely. Every itinerary can be tailored—extend your stay, swap courses, or add extra cultural days according to your pace and preferences.
Are all the golf courses private?
Some, such as La Moraleja and Real Sociedad Hípica Española, are strictly members-only. Through our local partnerships, guests enjoy privileged access and pre-arranged tee times.
How far are the golf courses from central Madrid?
Private transfers take between 20 and 45 minutes, depending on the club and traffic. All transportation is included and coordinated to fit your schedule.
Can this itinerary be combined with other Spanish destinations?
Yes. Many guests extend their journey with cultural or wine experiences in Andalusia, La Rioja, or the Basque Country. Custom extensions are easily arranged.
Are there options for non-golfing companions?
Definitely. We design parallel experiences such as private art visits, gourmet tours, shopping with a stylist, or day trips to nearby towns like Segovia or Toledo.
How are transfers and logistics handled?
A private driver is at your disposal for all golf, tour, and airport transfers. We manage every detail—tee times, restaurant reservations, and schedules—so you can simply enjoy.
Is this tour suitable for small groups?
Yes. Although designed for couples or friends, the itinerary can be adapted for small groups, including exclusive use of guides, transport, and flexible tee arrangements.
