Links Golf Course

On the east coast of Mauritius, within the Constance Belle Mare Plage complex, the Links Golf Course offers an 18-hole, par 71 course with an approximate length of 5,942 meters. It was opened in 2002 and designed by Peter Alliss and Rodney Wright, a duo that opted for an open, undulating layout with a contemporary character. Unlike its sister course, the Legend, here the terrain unfolds over gentle inland hills.

The design combines wide streets with strategically well-defended areas by bunkers and water features that come into play on several holes. The wind, common in this part of the island, influences club selection and adds a tactical layer that is especially noticeable on the longer par holes. The volcanic rocks integrated into the landscape provide visual identity and delineate some sections of the course. The greens, slightly elevated on several holes, require precision on the second shot and good distance control on the approach.

The 18th hole, one of the most memorable, closes out the round with an open view and a layout that invites players to take risks depending on their position on the course. The club features a practice area, an academy, and a clubhouse with unobstructed views of the natural surroundings.
