Ile aux Cerfs Golf Course
Just five minutes by boat from Anahita The Resort, on the island of Ile aux Cerfs, this 18-hole course offers a golf experience marked by the landscape and strategic layout.
Opened in 2003 and designed by Bernhard Langer, the course is a par 72 that takes advantage of the island’s natural topography without forcing it. The rolling terrain, volcanic rock outcroppings, and lakes that come into play on several holes define its character.
Tropical vegetation accompanies each shot and approach, but it doesn’t distract: here, the wind and club selection are as important as the view. All the holes offer open perspectives to the ocean, a detail that influences both the reading of the course and the pace of play. The design combines wide tee shots with greens that demand precision. There is room to attack, but mistakes are costly, especially when water protects the most obvious landing areas. Langer created a balanced course where strategy matters more than strength, and each round invites players to reconsider their decisions.
More than an isolated course, Ile aux Cerfs is part of the Mauritius experience: sea, light, and nature integrated into the game. The boat trip before and after the round adds a natural transition between the resort and the course, reinforcing the feeling of playing in a unique environment designed to enjoy golf with calmness and focus.
