La Finca Golf

Situated in Algorfa, Alicante province, La Finca Golf is among the top courses on the Costa Blanca. It opened in August 2002 and was designed by renowned Spanish architect Pepe Gancedo, a prominent name in golf course architecture Spain

This 18-hole, par-72 course is crafted for championship-level play. From the back tees, it extends over 6,300 meters, featuring wide fairways that encourage players to take their drivers, though strategic layout plays a crucial role. Gancedo’s distinctive style is clear in the diverse green shapes and the skillful placement of water hazards and bunkers—elements that require precise focus on each approach.

The course features a mix of open and technical holes, with tee shot placement being key. Some par-3s are notable for their unique greens, while multiple par-5s provide chances to attack the green if you’re prepared to take calculated risks. This course accommodates various strategies based on the player’s skill level.

For the 2026 season, adjustments have been made to holes 2 and 11 under the direction of architect Tim Lobb to enhance strategic play and update certain elements of the course layout.

La Finca Golf, part of a resort complex with a hotel and other amenities, acts as the main sporting highlight of the experience. However, it is also a course that, by itself, justifies the trip to this part of the Mediterranean.
