Las Ramblas Golf – La Finca Resort
Las Ramblas Golf is part of the La Finca Resort offering and is played as an independent course about 20 minutes from the complex. It is an 18-hole, par 72 course, inaugurated in 1991 and designed by José “Pepe” Gancedo, one of the most renowned Spanish architects of his generation.
From the first tee, his character is evident. The layout is set on uneven terrain, with natural ravines and Mediterranean pine forests that define narrow fairways and require careful shot planning. It’s not a long course in absolute terms, but it is technical. Placement from the tee and distance control towards greens that take advantage of the terrain’s slopes are paramount here..
Holes 3 and 4, both consecutive par-5s, create a difficult stretch on the front nine. The par-3 6th, set along the ravine that gives the course its name, embodies its character: a scenery that integrates naturally with the course, where accuracy is crucial for success. In the latter half, holes 12 and 14 once again challenge you to read the wind and select the correct club, leading up to the 18th, which requires calmness to finish strongly..
The facilities include a practice area, a clubhouse, and usual amenities for players. Las Ramblas does not aim to impress with showiness but with design. It is a course that rewards strategy and penalizes improvisation, making it ideal for those who enjoy golf as a constant exercise in decision-making.
