Montecastillo Golf, located in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz province, is one of southern Spain’s top courses. Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1992, it offers 18 holes, par 72. The design reflects the ‘Golden Bear’s’ strategic approach: wide tees, challenging second shots, and greens that demand precise putting. The layout seamlessly integrates with the rolling landscape, alternating wide fairways with rough patches that penalize inaccuracy. Well-placed bunkers are more than decorative; they shape strategic decisions and set the pace for each hole.
